That's Welsh for gudday Bruce. Or Sheila, as the case may be.
Welcome to my music site.

I'm an experienced musician, and I want to collaborate with others using the interweb.
Background
I've been a musician for many years: piano lessons at the age of eight, and had my first guitar for christmas when I was eleven. The first half decent one I had was the Hofner Congress you can see on the Contact page, which I've still got.
Took up the bass (on a Hofner Verithin through a Bird amp) when I was about fifteen, after I realised all the kids I knew who could play guitar were better than me, and there was a real shortage of bass players. The Fender Precision over there was my new baby in '71. I've still got it. Haven't done a string change since '79, when one broke, and I put a set of Rotosound Swing Bass on. There's a lovely thud to them now. Real 60s stuff.
Saw Buddy Cage with the New Riders playing support to the Grateful Dead in the Lyceum (London) in '72. He blew my head off with his pedal steel playing, (the solo on Hello Mary Lou was orgasmic. That was when I knew I had to get a steel) but I just couldn't afford such an expensive instrument at the time. Eventually in '79 I could just about afford one. Did quite a lot with it, due to the shortage of steel players in South Wales. Got the first dobro in '93 or '94. Became addicted to ukuleles in summer '08.
The present
I retired from live work in '03: just got sick of travelling and carrying gear around (the steel weighs 70 lbs in it's case, and my faithful Fender Twin is about the same). Why is it so many gigs are upstairs?
My music is all done on computer now: Mac using GarageBand and eMagic Logic. I use GB as a sketch pad, then copy the good bits over into Logic (they're compatible). If I'm doing basic overdubs for another band, often I don't move out of GB, especially if all that's required is a clean (no FX) dobro or uke track.
I like working with other people via the interweb. And it's so easy.
If you want me on one of your tracks, go to the Dobro slinger page.
